As well as our larger books, we also have a number of smaller publications focussing on certain specific places, people and events in Ku-ring-gai. These range in price from just $4 up to around $30, and postage varies. Streets of Ku-ring-gai

Streets of Ku-ring-gai lists the origins of the names of as many of the thoroughfares in the area as possible. Where the origin is unknown, the meaning is given instead. Streets more recent than 1987 are not included.

The People of Rural St Ives 1903-1933

The People of Rural St Ives 1903-1933 complied by Max Farley – based upon information published in the Sands Directories for the period. Contents include how the streets were named; the 1903 Electoral Roll for St Ives (listing women for the first time); an alphabetical list of “occupiers” of each household; and the actual Sands Directory entries for St Ives, from the first in 1903 to the last in 1932/33.
